Introductory call
You will have an initial call with one of our physicians to discuss your concerns and questions.
When the question is very specific and does not require a review of your medical records, we may answer it directly via mail, with the option of having a call later if you wish.
Thorough research
To find the answers to your questions, our team of scientists and doctors reviews your medical records and conducts the necessary research using international guidelines, scientific publications, and clinical trial databases.
Personalised answers
You will receive a personalised and understandable summary, which our physician will discuss in a (video) call with you to ensure that everything is clear.
Treatment-related information, not advice
We can provide the following:
- reliable information about your type of cancer,
- clarifications about test results,
- clear explanations on treatment options,
- an overview of clinical trials you may be eligible for,
- nuanced reviews of unregulated therapies,
- support to prepare questions to discuss with your doctor.
In English, Dutch or French.
We don’t provide
- A "second opinion" or medical advice. We do not take over your treatment, prescribe medication or arrange appointments.
- Insurance expertise, home care, and psychosocial support. However, we will of course do our best to refer you to the appropriate organisations.
- Funding for treatment. But, we can explore options for access to relevant therapies.
My Cancer Navigator supports patients in their search for information, only at their explicit request and with the protection of their private data.
The aim is to better understand the disease and treatment options, so that each individual patient can make informed decisions together with his or her doctor.
We work independently, without prejudice, based on publicly available scientific data.
